Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream

You might have already heard of BB creams before, the famous blemish balm which is especially popular with Asian women. It’s an all-in-one makeup like formula I first discovered with the Korean brand Missha. Since February there is a new product on the European market: Garnier’s Miracle Skin Perfector.

MiJi and I were kindly invited to the launch* of this new product and found out that Garnier formulated it specifically for Caucasian skin types needs and European women’s wishes. This BB cream is therefore a little bit different than the ones available from Asian brands. As someone who now extensively used both BB creams I can say that there are pro’s and con’s depending on what you expect. Garnier’s Miracle Skin Perfector promises (and keeps!) 5 things: harmonious complexion, 24h moisture, anti-age effect, glowing skin and SPF 15. I am the kind of girl who likes layering products, which is also what most Asian women do. Garnier’s BB cream on the other hand is great if you’re more the no-fuss, low maintenance kind of girl as this product will save you lots of time in the morning. It really gives you an overall glowy face that feels plump and rejuvenated thanks to its energizing smell. Compared to Asian brand’s BB creams this one has rather low SPF, which isn’t a big deal for me as I am used to wear a sunscreen underneath anyways.

Are you curious to try this product? We are giving away one Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector for light skin types so you can form an opinion of your own! All you have to do is like the link to this giveaway posted on our Facebook Fan Page. The giveaway is open worldwide and a winner will be selected Monday March 5th 8pm CET.

Good luck!

I actually like their concept of mixture.
Personally, I've only heard of the BB creams through friends (I'm Asian, too) and haven't come to test one yet. Hopefully, you guys will post more about those "magical creams"! I'm looking forward to it!

Hi there

First of all thank you for openly expressing your opinion that you are upset to see sponsored products on our blog.

MiJi and I decided to collaborate with brands we personally like every now and then. The reason you might have the feeling this is happening so often is because we post a lot less than we used to. The way we see it, there is nothing wrong in recommending products to our readers we like or introducing them to new brands. Each product that we did not buy ourselves has the c/o (courtesy of) tag and with beauty products we received there is a claimer at the end of the post so it's always transparent for you and everyone else. So as you can see, not all (beauty) posts include an endorsed product. Furthermore these are not paid endorsements in case you were wondering.

In case of this Garnier BB cream it is pure good will we are giving away one product to our readers we actually reveived for us. As I wrote in the post, so someone can form an opinion of her or his own.

I hope this explains the way we work.

Best wishes

Neslihan

@ Ina: I encourage you to try out different BB creams to find out what you like best. For instance I like BB creams of Asian brands a little bit more because they seem to have a better coverage and I have quite a lot of imperfections to cover up. The downside is the one I use from Missha has this grey/ashy undertone and is a bit thicker whereas Garnier's BB cream goes on very smoothly (just like a tinted moisturizer) and has a more peachy undertone and gives you a glowy complexion. This can be a bit of a problem though if you have oily skin as I do. Try and see what works best for you... :)

@Neslihan: Thanks a lot for your advice! I guess I'll really try some BB creams^^ Since I have oily skin, too, I should go for some other cream than Garnier's. But I might try it though...;)

Thanks a lot again and I'll definitly stay tuned to your blog! ♥

Dear Neslihan,
I recently saw a TV ad for the new Garnier BB cream and just had to think of you and our little conversation here^^ The new BB cream is specifically made for oily skin, I'm sure you've already heard of it. Maybe I'll try it some time soon :)
