Somewhere between what you need and what you know

Things I love this spring:
  • Wearing my denim jacket, obviously.
  • Making iced coffees at home.
  • My luck, generally speaking. ^^ (Well, except the second point of the I hate list...)
  • My mornings and evenings and mostly everything inbetween as well.
  • Dreaming to Yann Tiersen's music and looking forward to his concert next week in Zurich.
  • The fact that I wouldn't know anything else to add to the list below.

Things I hate this spring:
  • Wednesdays classes. They're such a drag.
  • The volcano erruption in Iceland. Thanks for ruining my trip to Stockholm, Eyjafjallajökull!

H&M

The Magazine 'Glamour' offered a shopping card which allowed 25 percent discount on one of the H&M products.
So I went for this salmon box shaped tshirt! I think that's so me ^^
I hope I can show you the details in an outfit post as soon as possible.
And I bought these H&M earrings today..After wearing earstuds all the time, I just wanted to wear long and big ones again.
I love the ethnic look of it.
Hope everyone had a wonderful sunny day!

Anticipation is the greatest pleasure

Zentriert
Just a floral & leather combo for a day filled with reading and getting things done before my trip to Stockholm this weekend. Can't wait to get away from uni stuff for a couple of days...

I'm wearing this floral dress that I've had for ages which considerably shrunk during the years but I still couldn't get rid of it. Previously its length was below knee and for some reason I always felt like Jennifer Lopez whenever I wore it. Funny, who would like that resemblance now? ^^

Uniform

Lazy as I was this week, I wore variations of this outfit over and over again so it became sort of my uniform this week. Every now and then I'll have breakfast on a saturday with my family so naturally I didn't have much time in the morning, I just put on my uniform and hid behind shades.

Speaking of sunglasses, I just bought these oversized YSL ones this week. I was convinced that this seasons trend, the cat eye sunglasses, look ridiculous on me. Nevertheless when I found a cute pair at the flea market in my hometown I couldn't resist.

My sister knitted this circle scarf a while back and I've worn it plenty of times since then. I can't stress enough how crafty she is!

Almost forgot how fun a topknot was: high and messy, off to one side. Carefree or sloppy, you decide... ^^

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Braid it!

I love it, he loves it... seriously, who doesn't love braided hair?

My favorite has to be the fish tail which is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Here's a video that explains it. I hope my sister will watch this so I don't have to braid her hair anymore...^^

On paper

Some time ago I had the chance to have a chit-chat with Yvan Rodic at his book signing in Zurich. In other cities people line up to see him but it was not at all surprising that the excitment in Zurich was not so high. Facehunter contains a selection of his streetstyle pictures from all around the world. People with charisma, madness and a unique sense of style. Far from the way I dress but still very inspirational!

Fashionista – Style icons of a century was a birthday gift from my girlfriends last year. From A to Z it features women like Rania Al-Abdullah (Queen of Jordan) to Rachel Zoe, divided in categories such as The ladies (Jacky O, Audrey Hepburn…), The bombshells (Brigitte Bardot, Marilyn Monroe...), The minimalists (Sofia Coppola, Jil Sander…) etc.
A great pleasure to read for every fashion lover!

The It-girls:
Edie Sedgwick, Chloe Sevigny, Louise Brooks, Bianca Jagger, Sienna Miller, Marchesa Luisa Casati, Twiggy, Kate Moss, Mary Quant

The bonbons:
Carrie Bradshaw, Kylie Minogue, Rachel Zoe
