Lanvin for H&M

This evening we were invited to preview the latest designer collaboration of H&M with Lanvin. We were both very excited to see the pieces upclose since our expectation was pretty high after the video we had seen earlier.

The open seam detailing, which is apparently very typical for Lanvin as we found out tonight, is not our cup of tea. So as much as we liked some of the dresses, this raw finish just didn’t do it for us.

The collection shows a richness in colors, patterns and materials and definitely stands out but there’s unfortunately nothing that will make us stand in line November 23. What are your opinions? Any must-have items on your wishlist?

It's not 100% my cup of tea either but I do love the sheer blouse/top thing, and their shoes, but I'll have to see them in person!

The only thing that looks interesting to me is the (blusher?) stick in the first pic. As usual, I'll wait for the items to go on sale, to buy them at a reasonable price:)

I like the dresses. Especially the pink and yellow one. I won't stand in line, but will have a look afterwards. Love the eyeglasses as well.
However, love the video!

There are some dresses I would love to have: the navy one with ruffles on the sides and an all-over ruffles black dress.

Yes, I have seen those pieces and I'm very very dissapointed. They don't look very classy or high fashion at all, actually look rather cheap and immature in my opinion...for little kids might work, not for a grown-up stylish girl, let alone a lady! Nowadays, "Wanna be a lady" is more desired trend than "wanna stay naive"! Boo~~

@ Style and Fashion Attitude:

Ha, you nailed it with your "world-wide joke"!!! Totally my thoughts, especially what you said about little girls, they'd look cute in those white embellished tshirts.

But there are enough people pushing the collaboration already, they don't need our stamp of approval.. :)

I agree! There's really nothing I'm absolutely in love with, and gotta have this second. But it's still a very beautiful collection. I love how colorful everything is.

I actually lined up as hadn't really seen anything I liked in the video or anywhere else and thought "hmmm, maybe i'll pick up a Tee or some makeup??". Got in line, lined up for 15 minutes to be told only people with coloured arm bands can go in! Those without have to wait until 11am and only 20 people can go in then. What a complete farce, how about I save up and buy something with real class!
